On the final day, when we all viewed the memorial Hiraga Jun photo exhibition at the Ashiyasu Mountaineering Center, I was reminded once again, “Senpai, so many people are walking the trail, it makes me so happy.” People from far away and locals alike are all walking the Kainokuni Long Trail.

That is all we wish for.
The Hiraga Jun Cup is not a race.
However, since watching last year, I have been able to see scenes of strong connections between people and nature.
Seeing everyone like that,
I now feel that it would be great if the Hiraga Jun Cup could become an event where people can deepen their connections while walking the Kainokuni Long Trail.
PASaPASA is a coined word derived from the French word pas à pas, meaning “step by step.”
(The official pronunciation is pazapaza.)
Whether it’s a small or big step, by taking each step, you can see a new world and reach your goal. I want to take each step with courage.
